Does Gabapentin 800mg Really Help With Neuropathic Pain?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading a lot about Gabapentin 800mg and its use for neuropathic pain and wanted to open a discussion. I’m dealing with chronic nerve pain, and my doctor mentioned that gabapentin could help, but I’m curious about real-world experiences.

From what I understand, Gabapentin for nerve pain works by calming overactive nerves rather than acting like traditional painkillers. People say it helps with burning, shooting, or tingling sensations that come with nerve damage. I’m particularly interested in how effective the 800mg dose is compared to lower doses. What’s the normal dosage of gabapentin for nerve pain, and how long did it take before you noticed relief? Also, is there a max dose of gabapentin for nerve pain that people should be aware of?
