What makes an image complete?

I was getting ready for a small gallery event last weekend and ran into that familiar problem — everything looked fine separately, but together it felt unfinished. Black jeans, crisp white shirt, boots… and still something was missing. Out of curiosity I even scrolled through https://bleakandsleek.shop/collections/body-harnesses just to see how layering pieces can change the overall silhouette. It made me think: what actually makes an image complete? Is it one bold detail, better proportions, or just confidence? I don’t want to overdo it, but I also don’t want to look like I stopped halfway. How do you personally know when your look is truly “done”?
