Human plus AI collaboration benefits

Lately I’ve been thinking about this whole “human plus AI” collaboration idea. At my job we recently introduced an AI tool to help process incoming requests and suggest draft replies. At first I was honestly nervous, because it felt like the beginning of being replaced. But after a month of actually working with it, I noticed something different — it takes care of repetitive sorting and basic analysis, and I get to focus on the complex cases where real judgment and empathy matter.

I was reading more about this and came across an article here https://scientificasia.net/the-economics-of-the-service-economy-scaling-human-plus-ai-operations/ , which talks about scaling service operations by combining human skills with AI systems. It made me think — is this actually the direction most industries are heading? Do you feel like AI makes your work more meaningful, or does it slowly reduce the human role over time? I’d really like to hear some real-life experiences beyond the theory.
