When will you prescribe Armodafinil 50 mg for excessive daytime sleepiness?
When it comes to my clinical practice, there are cases where adult patients with excessive daytime sleepiness are treated but continue to exhibit symptoms. I would like to hear from fellow clinicians on how they prescribe Armodafinil 50 mg in such a case.
Is it reserved primarily for narcolepsy, OSA with residual daytime sleepiness, or SWSD? Are there specific criteria that you consider prior to the initiation of the therapy?
Typically, I make sure to conduct a thorough evaluation that includes sleep history, medications taken by a patient, cardiovascular condition, occupational schedule, and general health history of an individual prior to prescribing it. I am wondering if my colleagues use a similar protocol or have any other criteria while choosing suitable candidates for Armodafinil 50 mg.
Thanks a lot.
